House of Afrodite LLC ("we," "us") operates seshatoshun.com. This policy explains what information we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

Email address. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. If you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message.

Basic usage data. Our hosting provider records standard server information such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location. This is aggregate and not used to identify you personally.

Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages readers actually read. It is privacy-first by design: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. It records aggregate measurements such as page views, referring site, country, and browser type. There is no way for us to identify an individual visitor from it.

Purchase information. Ebooks are sold through Curios, a third-party checkout and delivery platform. When you buy a book, Curios collects your email address and payment details directly — we don't see or store your payment information ourselves. Curios has its own privacy policy governing that data.

Comments

To allow for discussion, you have the opportunity to post comments on this website. The information collected includes your name and your comments. If you ever wish to have your comments removed, send me a quick note through the email address at the bottom of this page and I'll remove them.

Contact forms

Contact forms on this site allow you to send me messages. Those messages — along with your name, email address, and IP address — are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, and delivered to me by email. Formspree also retains recent submissions in its dashboard so a message isn't lost if email delivery fails.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

These providers process your data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We share your information with them only as needed to operate the site and send the emails you asked for.

Cookies

This site uses minimal cookies. Your browser may store a small session flag when you unlock The Spice Rack, so you don't have to re-enter the password on every page. That flag stays on your device and is cleared when you close your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookieless.

Your choices

Unsubscribe anytime. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're off the list.

Access, correction, or deletion. You can ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Contact us and we'll take care of it.

If you're in the EU/UK: You have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. We rely on your consent as the legal basis for sending you marketing email, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

If you're in California: You have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site and our books are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Anti-Spam and Security

Spam protection. Our contact form uses a hidden spam trap (a honeypot field) that blocks automated bot submissions before they ever reach us. Comments are reviewed before they go live, and anything that looks like spam, harassment, or a scam won't be published.

Data security. This site is served over HTTPS, so information you submit is encrypted in transit. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
